We've compiled a list of our Top 5 tablescaping tips for your next gathering, because a thoughtfully prepared table turns every meal into a memorable occasion.
1. Pattern play all day
Don’t be afraid to mix patterns like our Brandywine Napkins + Evergreen Times Tablecloth. Once you break up the patterns with your placemats and plates, it won’t feel busy. A good rule of thumb is to have your larger print as the base and layer smaller prints on top.
2. Create a centerpiece focal point
This doesn't need to be fancy - my mom is the queen of backyard floral arrangements. Scavenge outside for free florals and greenery in a pinch. Use a pitcher as your vase. Get creative, there are no rules!
Our Sage Fandango Tablecloth is a perfect base for big, unkempt arrangements.
3. Incorporate different heights & textures
Tall candlesticks paired with low bowls or votives add visual interest. I also love a tiny cordial glass to accompany desert!
The rose-toned hues of our Plumeria tablecloth instantly sets a cheerful mood! Add in rattan placemats or orchid napkin rings for a natural touch of warmth.
4. Make it personal
Add place cards or small favors for guests to take home.
Pretty @paperinapinch printables, a gifted tissue box cover, a bar of @spring.mulberry chocolate, all worthy take-home tokens to remember.
5. Don’t forget to enjoy yourself
Set the table the day before (the most fun part of all). Cram the mess into one room no one will see. Prep as much of the food and drinks in advance as you can or better yet, order takeout! Put on a great playlist to lift the mood. Ask one friend to arrive early to help welcome guests with you. Pour yourself a glass because if the host isn’t having fun, no one is!
