Sweetgrass Home was born from a love of casual gatherings and an admiration for those who make hosting seem effortless. As someone who tends to fret over entertaining, Jenny hoped to provide a way to preserve the joy of sharing meals with family and friends, without getting lost in the stress of preparations.
The idea started when I couldn’t find what I needed for a casual outdoor party - complete with kids and dogs. Everything I had seemed wildly overdressed for the occasion. I found myself wishing I had something colorful, casual, and easy to bring out at a moment’s notice.
In partnership with a family-owned manufacturer in Jaipur, India, we were able to launch our first collection of block printed table linens in May 2021, when life was finally beginning to feel normal again post-pandemic. The goal has always been to make hospitality easy, now more than ever.
